During the mock election held at lunch on Oct. 30, incumbent President Barack Obama was “voted” into his second term of office while all propositions on the ballot but two were passed. The other winner was Senator Dianne Feinstein.

Out of the 285 students who voted, Obama received 207 of those votes while his next largest competitor, Republican candidate Mitt Romney, received 35. The rest of the ballot for President were in the order of Gary Johnson, with 18, Thomas Hoefling, 8, Roseanne Barr, 7, and Jill Stein coming last with a total of 5 votes.

Every single proposition passed with the exception of Proposition 32 and Proposition 40.

Feinstein beat her challenger, Republican Elizabeth Emken, by a margin of 211-48.
