3, 2, 1 for Daniels

Principal Brent Daniels stood in the middle of the football field and told fans how Ambassador Christopher Stevens modeled ‘achieve the honorable” for us.

If the new administration plans to use our motto for this event, we want it modeled for us, here in our school community as well.

And so far, they are trying.

The admin team is talking to teachers and to parents in a new way. Daniels has set up a 3-2-1 model meeting for people to tell him about the community, themselves, and what they think needs to be improved. Daniels has met with over 40 faculty for 15 minute 3-2-1 meetings, as well as a 3-2-1 meeting with the parents board.

TPH has taken the initiative to have our 3-2-1 meeting in print.

The three things that we want you to know about PHS are:

There is a lot of pressure put on students to succeed. Academic achievement is constantly discussed, and whether or not one earns good grades, the topic of GPAs, test scores and colleges cannot be escaped.

We have gone to school together since elementary school or middle school. And, we have become a tight-knit student body.

If you ever want to run into students outside of school go to Mountain View Cemetery or Colonial Donuts.

The two things you should know about us as a publication are:

We value our first amendment rights and always report the truth.

We love what we do.

And the one thing we would like to see improved is:

School spirit. Sure we have rallies and dances, but we want more. We are tired of the long endless weeks of school, and we often do not have anything to look forward. Let’s unify the school as much as possible. Sure, this is not the setting of a movie, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t make it feel like the most fun, entertaining, and exciting place to come to every day.

We hope students continue to voice their 3-2-1 ideas for the school and we are willing to publish the results.

The more we get to know each other, the better we will be able to serve our community and, to tag line it one last time, “achieve the honorable.”
